Mini Piled Foundations in Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire

Much of the work that we carry out involves mini piling to new build houses and new house extensions in Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire. If you find that ground conditions are not allowing you to use a traditional concrete foundation for your project we may be able to help. The basic principle in piling is to bypass poor shallow ground conditions by installing piles down to deeper good load bearing ground beneath.

We use 150mm diameter steel tube piles on all of our contracts installed by a Hammerhead piling hammer. These allow us to provide foundations to all single and double storey extensions and houses. We often get involved with some three storey developments but these are on the threshold of using larger diameter piles. Everything we need to carry out our work comes to site by van, therefore allowing access to some difficult to reach places.

Our mini piles offer a cost effective solution on many small and medium sized projects and when combined with our ground beam installation we can provide you with the ideal foundation package for house extensions and new build houses.

Ground beams are formed from reinforced steel cages that bridge from pile to pile. The steel cages are then enveloped in concrete to create the foundation. Ground beams can either be formed within trenches dug into the ground or formed above ground using shutters.
